S.O.A.R. is a Social and Emotional Learning Program Built for Schools.
The SOAR Program focuses on self-awareness, outdoor adventure, and resilience, integrating social and emotional learning (SEL) concepts. Through project-based activities, low and high ropes challenges, we empower students to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and empathy. Our mission is to cultivate self-awareness, teamwork, and emotional resilience, fostering critical thinking and exploration. We aim to equip students with essential skills and a resilient mindset, helping them grow personally and positively impact their communities.
Our 3 Phase Approach
The SOAR program ignites a journey of self-discovery, empowering students to explore their full potential. Through immersive activities and projects, we inspire individuals to unveil their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges. By understanding and embracing their unique capabilities, students learn to navigate and thrive in both personal and team environments.

Teachers: We got you covered!
Don't have the time to get your admin to work with us on a school-level? Looking for immediate SEL benefits for your class? We offer a condensed, class-specific SOAR program as part of a class "field trip."
The SEL framework is an essential component for fostering students' holistic development, equipping them with vital skills to manage emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions. This comprehensive approach integrates social and emotional growth into the educational experience, creating a supportive and productive learning environment.
Empower students to understand their own emotions, thoughts, and values. Encourage them to recognize their strengths and areas for growth, develop self-confidence, and maintain a growth mindset. Outdoor activities, such as ropes courses, offer unique opportunities for self-reflection and discovery, pushing students to step out of their comfort zones and realize their potential.
Teach students to effectively regulate their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in various situations. Equip them with skills for stress management, impulse control, goal-setting, and self-discipline. Challenges presented by outdoor adventures, like navigating ropes courses, help students practice these skills in real-time, fostering resilience and adaptability.
Cultivate empathy and understanding of social and cultural norms. Help students recognize and appreciate diversity, show empathy, and understand different perspectives. Engaging in team-based outdoor activities helps students learn to appreciate different viewpoints and work collaboratively, enhancing their social awareness.
Guide students in establishing and maintaining healthy, rewarding relationships. Focus on clear communication, active listening, cooperation, conflict resolution, and the importance of seeking and offering help. Outdoor team-building exercises, including ropes courses, provide a dynamic environment for students to develop and refine these relationship skills, promoting trust and teamwork.
Foster the ability to make ethical, constructive choices about personal and social behavior. Encourage students to evaluate the consequences of their actions, consider the well-being of themselves and others, and make decisions based on safety, social norms, and respect for others. The decision-making required in outdoor activities and ropes courses helps students practice and reinforce these crucial skills in a practical, engaging context.
